Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs

This world is a machine fit only for pigs. Fit for the slaughtering of pigs.

The next title in the Amnesia series is under development from Frictional Games. They've also teamed up with Dear Esther developers, Chinese Room. Titled Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, this next installment takes place 60 years after Dark Descent in London on New Year's Eve 1899. The game won't be directly linked to DD but takes place in the same "universe". The gothic horror of the first title will be replaced by the horrific machinations of the industrialized world.

Screenshots that have been released seem to show an upgrade of the engine. The devs have also mentioned they're stripping out some game elements from DD to add in others.

They're hoping for a release date before Halloween this year. DD was creepy as all hell (I always played in the dark) so I'm looking forward to this next game.
