I didn't think it was at the same level of some of his best work. It was good, but not great, in my opinion. However, a lot of people on this forum seem to think Jurassic Park is some kind of masterpiece. If Jurassic Park is a masterpiece, then Amistad deserves to be placed right up there with Citizen Kane.
