I'm trying to upgrade my Amigo PDA to PocketPC 2002. I have the files to flash, and I have the very sparse instructions, but the upgrade doesn't seem to be taking effect.

has anyone here done this successfully? If so, any pointers/hints/advice would be greeeeeeeeatly appreciated.

Do you know about the Pocket PC passion Amigo Forum? the answers are there but you will have to search, there were lots of step by step instructions posted back when the $150.00 deal was happening.

You need to flash three times, the best way is with a compact flash card using a pcmcia adapter, copy the first file to the card, plug the card in to the amigo, turn it on, let it flash, turn it off and delete the file from the card and copy the next file on to the card, must have only one file on the card at a time.

Bin file Flash Steps

Step 1.Flash the XIP bootloader (bin file)
a. copy \ P6CPRO\XIP\boot.bin to CF card.
(don't copy KERNEL.nb0 into this card)
b. insert this card into slot.
c. press Reset button. It will flash by itself.

Step 2.Flash the newest bootloader (bin file)
a. copy \P6CPRO\boot.bin to CF card.
(don't copy KERNEL.nb0 into this card)
b. insert this card into slot.
c. press Reset button. It will flash by itself.

Step 3.And then flash KERNEL.nb0 (NB0 file)
a. copy \P6CPRO\ KERNEL.nb0 to CF card. (don't leave boot.bin)
b. insert this card into slot.
c. Device required cold boot.
d. Plug AC. It will flash by itself.
