AMEX BVG Question: Can I return product after PM? Not trying to scam, but ...

I bought something that has $100 rebate last month, and I used AMEX BVG to get the difference.
Now I need to send the rebate form, but it seem to be expired yesterday.
I was wondering if it is possible that I can return the item to the store? Will AMEX do anything to me if I return it?
 
So what you are really asking is if it is ok to get use out of the product at the companies expense. No it is not.
