Is this worth it? I am already a member but I have the normal gold card for best value guarantee, warrantee extension, etc...Do you know if we get the same benefits here? The open savings are ok I guess, but all the partners are overpriced anyway.

Also, did you notice that the Business Platinum card is $100 less than Personal Platinum card per year? I am thinking about getting that along the same lines as the directions from the link above.

It looks like this site just gets a referral fee for every application that came by way of their site. The site where you apply is actually american express, as verified by their SSL ceritificate issued by Verisign.

The thing is that this is only an introductory offer for the 1st year. I quote from the American Express site:

"I understand that the annual fee(s) for the basic card and additional cards has been waived for the first year. Thereafter, the annual fee for the Basic Card is $75.00 and $35.00 for each Additional Card."
