AMEX Blue Serial Smart Card reader

anyone else out there get theirs to work in 2k? [im using server (SP 2)]. after running the setup program, shutting down and connecting the reader, and starting back up again, windows starts up with an error saying:

"Service Control Manager : At least one service or driver failed during system startup. Use Event Viewer to examine the event log for details."

so i check the event viewer and i get these error messages:

"The Scr110A4 service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified."

"The Compaq service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified."

looking thru even viewer i also found this error:

"The Remote Access Connection Manager service terminated with the following error:
The specified procedure could not be found"

i don't know what it has to do with the Smart Card Reader, but it said the source was from Service Control Manager, so maybe it does.

does anyone know how to fix any of this? or maybe get rid of it manually...because the uninstall .isu is invalid or corrupted. It doesn't bother any other programs or hardware, but i would like this reader to work.....and have as clean an installation as possible. 😉
