Amex Blue question

when paying with Amex Blue and a merchant asks to see an ID card, am i required to do so?

i know for a fact that with Visa, i can say no as long as my card is signed. just wondering what my rights with the Amex card are.

Technically a merchant can refuse to sell you anything if they really wanted to, regardless of Visa's policy.
