AMEX Blue Price Protection question

For example, let's say I bought something today using AMEX Blue and I saw the ad from last week for the same item at a lower price. Does the price protection still apply when the ad is dated before my purchase date ? Anyone has a similar experience ??

I think the dates need to be current. You can always call an Amex CSR. They seemed to be pretty helpful to me when I dealt with them in the past.

try not to abuse it or they just might cancel it. and yes it does have to be after whatever you purchase, not retroactive. also, please don't try and alter the dates and stuff.

just ruins the overall benfit
