I know it's not really a hot deal and it's been posted before, but for all of you that have the Amex Blue card, you can get a free card reader to use for online payments.

Ok, now the only reason I am posting this is because I ordered mine quite some time ago. They only had a serial version which really sucked (had to connect to the keyboard too).

Well, now they have a USB one listed on their site. I tried to order online, but it said it was going to charge me since I already ordered the serial one. I called them up and explained that I really wanted the USB one and the rep ordered it for me for no charge.

AMEX Sucks!, They don't offer cards in Iowa due to our revloving credit laws. Every other cards accepts them but AMEX. Is there another service like AMEX's blue card by another major card?

Thanks, I had gotten the serial version back in August or Sept., so I called and told them I needed to use that port for something else (duh) and I needed the usb version which was not available then. Guy told me if they sent me one out, they would automatically charge my card, so he credited my account $25., then gave me an 800# to call and order the usb one. Well yes, of course I jumped right on the phone and ordered it. Well.... ;)

I got the thing a long time ago. It's supposed to help you securely use your card for purchases at certain sites. It also lets you login and view your account, but this is something you could've done at the AMEX website without the reader. It's just sitting in my drawer now. Well, it's free, so why not? Maybe it will have a better use in the future.

Thanks for the direct link. I ordered it (it's free) but whether I use it or not is another story.
