i am leaning towards scottrade right now because of the lower fees, but i've read some reviews saying that their web interface is slow to load and there has been numerous downtimes. also their turnaround time to get certain things done to your account is relatively long compared to other reputable brokerages.
ameritrade costs $4 more per trade and has a nicer interface and seems to require a lot less snail mail requirements, compared to scottrade where you have to mail all these forms for certain things like opening an account.
which do you guys recommend?
having a scottrade branch is a non issue to me since the nearest one is 70 miles away from me.
