Horses are not a native species. They have only been around for the past couple of centuries, since the Spanish conquistador explored the Americas.

i ate horsemeat while in italy. very tasty. The koreans eat dogs. what is the point?
Hindus don't eat beef because they believe cows are sacred. Maybe we should pass a law to stop people from eating beef to appease the hindus? or stop eating pork to appease the muslims?

roger that. just because we don't do eat horses doesnt mean that other cultures shouldnt
i'm guessing horose meat is probably similar to other meats that we eat anyway. deer/beef.

The people of the U.S. have a right to pass laws that they see fit. I don't think killing of horses for meat production should be allowed.
And I don't give 2 sh|ts what Japanese people think.

Well it's not native so what does it matter if the wild herds go away? The open range of the west is almost completely gone and the horses that range in Nevada and Montana have been genetically corrupted by years of removing the best horses from the herds. The mustangs of today are mongrols that have disease and genetic problems galore.
