I think I live in the disaster capital of the US... though lately it's been pretty mum. Anchorage, Alaska: Largest earthquake in US history hit in 1964. Volcanoes: Within 50 miles of 3 big ones, each of which have erupted in the past 15 years and one of which is spewing smoke right now. Something's gonna happen here soon. I can FEEL it.

Just your friendly oil drilling companies moving in to empty the Alaskan WLR.

Most of us would be smart enough to get the hell out of dodge if told a bonafide tsunami was on its way.

Edit - Besides, a tsunami would be blocked by the Rockies on the West, and the Appalacians on the East, leaving most of the US intact. Its the Supervolcano under Wyoming and several other states thats going to kill us all.

yea, except all the states that matter would be destroyed

there was a special on CBC's Fifth Estate last night called "Tsunami: Untold Stories".

it was quite possibly the most gripping hour of TV i've seen recently.

You think tsunamis, calderas, asteroid impacts or the avian flu are bad? HAH!! Those are child's play! Just wait until Y2K destroys the worlds computer systems. It'll be chaos I tell you, CHAOS!! The survivors will envy the dead.

Dont forget the huge asteroid that is going to wipe us out like it did the dinosaurs

Nonsense. The next ice age will be the end of us.

I think it is occurring right now where I live 🙂
