With Lindsay Lohan taking a break it looks like Amanda Bynes is angling to be the next great flameout. Yet, she just can't seem to breakout to the number one spot. I guess she never quite achieved the kind of fame you need before you self destruct to the enjoyment of the American public.

So, with Britney Spears seemingly yesterdays news, and Charlie Sheens at least temporary retirement from trashing hotels with hookers, who will step up?

And what is it with Americas fascination with the self destructive?

I saw something about her on the Today show this morning and asked my gf what was going on. She told me that apparently Amanda Bynes was smoking weed in the lobby of her apartment building (lulz), so someone called the cops. When the cops arrived, she was already back in her apartment, on the 30th floor. So the cops come in, see Amanda Bynes with a glass bong. She looks at them and says, "Bong? This is not a bong, it's a vase.", then tosses it over her shoulder, out the balcony window, to the street below.

Aside from the risk of her actions seriously hurting or killing someone on the street below, I find this shit fucking hilarious. That was pretty quick thinking.

"Don't believe the reports about me being arrested. It's all lies. I was sexually harassed by one of the cops the night before last which is who then arrested me. He lied and said I threw a bong out the window when I opened the window for fresh air. Hilarious. He slapped my vagina. Sexual harassment. Big deal. I then called the cops on him. He handcuffed me, which I resisted, quite unlike any of the reports stated. Then I was sent to a mental hospital. Offensive. I kept asking for my lawyer but they wouldn't let me.
