I'm flipping latenight and spent a few minutes on the People one. This show sucks. I can't believe people thought this was quality primetime entertainment.

IMO americas funniest home videos was hit and miss...half funny. The best was when the the put numerious short funny clips in a row...usually of people hurting themselves.

America's Funniest Home Videos was a great show especially when Bob Sagot was the host. Not that he is a good host, the videos just seemed better. It is and will always be funny to see people getting hurt, but I don't like the ones that are staged.

It's funny. Of course there are clips that aren't, but overall.. it's good entertainment.

The one that is hosted by the guy from Hollywood Squares can be really funny, formerly hosted by Bob Sagett (sp?), particularly the animals and the people crashes/falls/slips/wipe-outs. I love watching people wipe-out, falling off the roof, slipping, crashing, etc.

The one that is hosted by that dork from Full House, the other dork from Full House, not Bob Sagett, where people send-in videos of themselves doing stupid things which are scripted, is not funny at all.

I think it's funny. I didn't like the show as much with Daisy Fuentes (even though she was nice to look at) and that other guy. I liked the original and I like the new one.

I remember the first episode of AFHV, when it came out in 1989. There wasn't even a plan for a series at the time, but because the darn thing was so FRIGGIN HILARIOUS, the powers that be decided to make a series from that one pilot episode.

However, a billion shots to the crotch later, the show has lost its luster, IMHO. :)

Used to watch it when Bob Saget hosted it but now the hosts are dumb as hell and in the last one the top three videos weren't even close to funny.

Tom Bergeron is pretty funny. The show is still amusing. It is true that the winning videos are often less funny than the videos that don't make the top 3. Kinda like the Maxim joke of the month is usually less funny than the runners up....

That was probably the downfall of it right there. When they started giving away money, people started setting things up. You can tell that most of these videos are staged. I think the funniest ones are those where you can tell it's real.
