Americans, where did you spend the 4th of July?

Like most Americans, I spent it watching fireworks celebrating the great birth of our nation with friends and family. It was Glorious!

Where did leading Republicans spend the 4th of July? Mother Russia.

“What trouble did we cause?” one Russian TV analyst said last week, before the senators arrived. “We just elected Trump, that’s all.”

It is required of us on this board to post our thoughts and observations on a subject when we post a link so here goes....ehem...

BRB I have to puke.

Was visiting buddies in Philly and got to see them from a parking garage roof. Come to think of it, I should've msg'd Perk to come join us. It was spectacular, from our vantage point we could see two sets of fireworks at the same time.

And lol at those 12 Russians who "elected Trump". Man they sure were powerful! That crafty Putin and his FB experts.

I spent it at my son's house with the grandkids, eating BBQ and setting off Texas sized fireworks. Happy that elected officials sacrificed their family and Holiday time to our benefit. Also happy I don't listen to Russians such as yourself spew bullshit.

Home; had a hard time feeling patriotic with Team Treason wiping it's ass with the Constitution while carrying out it's war on the middle class, our national security, the environment, women, etc.

Looking forward to when we have a real President again, instead of a bad joke turned Russian asset.

At our subdivision block party with about 40 people and probably $1500 in fireworks. It’s good to live in a place that still lets you make pretty explosions in the night sky :)

I have a neighbor who has a pro permit and friends with a fireworks manufacturer.

They launch crazy town-quality displays from his backyard on a number of holidays thoughout the year. You always know when it's his birthday....

I was having fun watching Ms Okoumou climbing around on the statue of Liberty while GOP congress critters were climbing onto Putin's knob in Russia...

Quite the contrast, believe me.

Oh, and I loved Trump's message of national unity & strength-

How many crimes does she get to commit here before we send her back to the Democratic Republic of the Congo?

We no longer celebrate Independence Day here. We did some work around the house, caught up on some sleep and ate Chinese takeout.

You win, I love it up there.

We had a quiet 4th, a couple of our dogs are afraid of fireworks so we just locked them in after dark and watched Only The Brave, great flick.

So one of the POS Republicans came back and here is what he had to say...

https://twitter.com/kylegriffin1/status/1016459531486945280

Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, back from the congressional trip to Moscow, is suggesting that Congress went too far in punishing Russia for meddling in the 2016 election. "The election interference ... is not the greatest threat to our democracy."

I went to the gym and did my workout. I watched a movie into the night while cherry bombs, etc. blasted away, with my earbuds so I wouldn't be disturbed.
