I think it'd be interesting for the people of P&N to see where they'd lie on the Canadian political spectrum. At least, I'd be interested in your results. It might also be interesting for Americans (or others) curious as to where Canadian parties stand on these issues.

So, take the quiz here, post your results, and maybe post your location / nationality.

I answered all the extra questions and my results are:

79% Liberal
73% Green
73% NDP
30% Bloc
4% Conservative

Canadian currently in London (UK)

edit: when you're done, you can compare your results directly to mine

Without being informed on the issues in Canada, how would one answer the questions such that anything could be derived from those answers?

Most aren't Canadian-specific. Gay marriage, sex-selective abortions, etc.

For the ones that are somewhat Canadian-specific like immigration and pipelines, imagine it was asking it of you as an American for America.

For very Canadian-specific ones like Quebec sovereignty, you can dial down the "how important is it to me" part to the lowest setting so it won't affect your results.

Lol
Best comment I'll probably read here today
:)

Glad to have made your day :D

It surprised me to see where my choices on the questions placed me up there in Canucklestan. I do consider myself to be a moderate conservative that has voted for Democratic and Independent candidate when I felt they better fit my views/beliefs/stance.

According to this quiz I am a liberal conservative. I didn't bother to go through the degree to which each question was important, so I guess that's why I sided with all parties (proving once again the parties are more alike than they are different).

I absolutely love the foreign policy question of whether Canada's military should get involved with foreign countries. Silly Canada thinking they have a military :)
