Americans are still dying in Iraq.

Americans are still dying in Iraq.

(CNN) -- A U.S. soldier was killed by small arms fire late Sunday evening while manning a traffic control point in Al Qaim, Iraq, according to a statement on the U.S. Army's Centcom website.

An undetermined number of assailants pulled up to the checkpoint in a vehicle and requested help for a "sick" person in the car, the Army said. Two people armed with pistols then got out of the vehicle and shot the soldier, the statement said.

People seem to think that "it's over, over there!" So wrong. I just wanted to point out that our men and women are still being killed over there by a people you'd think would be grateful to no longer be under the thumb of a homicidal megalomaniac.

Damn ungrateful animals those people are.

The ones that are doing the killings now were living the good life under Saddam. They were the ones running the countryside enforcing Saddams iron fist. Do you think they would just roll over peacefully and die?

Iraq has alot of sick ftards that have guns. This is why there should be an IQ test for gun ownership among other things

we killed alot of them, their returning the favor apparently. it will get alot worse than this too as frustration is only getting deeper and harder to control.

Politics.
Blahblahblah..

It annoys me that there is a seperate Politics and News forum besides the Off Topic forum of a computer hardware discussion forum.

(Wow, is that redundant or what).

I know my own politics.

I don't feel the need to discuss them with you, my internet friends.

Kind of an "I don't swim in your toilet, don't pee in my pool" sort of thing.

Further, a society, even a sub-society as represented by the members who actively post here, cannot survive long unless the majority observe the rules.

Mods say this goes in politics, so that's where it should go, regardless of your, or my, feelings on the matter.

we don't trust them to be a democracy yet so that's why they don't have a govt. yet, which is pissing many off.

in other words, until we can find US pawns like the shah after we deposed irans govt in '59, we will be their govt. We have a very ironic definition of 'democracy' over there.

Anyways, mods please exile this thread to the politics board.

Oh, I've never visited the Politics Forum...I looked for the WAR forum, but didn't see it. My bad.

Wasn't trying to start a flame war or anything; just wanted to point out that we should not forgot we have Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen over there...and they are dying for OUR way of life. (Those of us here in the STates, anyway.)

Mods, move as you see fit...

Ok... you go over there and help them rebuild then... make sure you bring your bullet proof jacket cause the same people who greeted us and welcomed us when we arrived are now the ones shooting at us.
