Shared on face book so I could rip the life away from my friends as you have just done to me.

edit:

To clarify: What i'm saying is that this was a very good read but it took a very long time. It was very engrossing and metaphorically match the sentiment of this line from the Blind Melon song No Rain "And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away, but it's a great escape".

This is interesting.
He remembered Geeshie. He is in his 90s, his memory is mostly gone and there is a very good chance that he is the last man on earth who can say that he remembers Lillie Mae (Geeshie) Wiley, knows who she is and has seen her face (unless Mack found her). He implied that there was something funny about her background. He said that she’d been “maybe Mexican or something.” That was it. But he saw her, he remembered. He was someone we almost didn’t talk to, because people had said it was too late.

The closest music I have found to Last Kind Words Blues is Garifuna music from Central America.
