as title says; I just moved into town and didn't know what to do/socialize/just to have fun/drink.
So I visited the city's website and found out they have a Cinco de Mayo 'pub crawl' event.

so what is a pub crawl?

A (semi)organized group walking from bar to bar, often with drink specials, free tshirts, etc for participants.

It's similar to bar hopping, but crawls are a bit more organized... and aren't just walking down the street until you find a bar open...

okay... kewl.

more info here:

9:00 pm marks the start of the Cinco de Mayo pub crawl celebration. $10.00 gets you into the twenty official pub crawl parties.

anyway, so what's the 10 bucks for? That's just for getting in those bars? So for those who didn't pay they cannot get in at all? or they just won't get any free-stuff (beads and t-shirts right?) ?

Usually you get a shirt and you are supposed to have someone sign on it from each bar in the crawl after you've had a drink.

I have been to a lot of pub crawls. The $10 is like a cover charge for all the bars. It also allows to get the drink specials, like Corona at one bar maybe a buck or two if you paid. Also, sometimes there are games, the last one I played was drinking golf.

Often times you must purchase tickets far in advance to take advantage of drink specials b/c most cities sell out quickly.

Tons of fun though! I always appreciate any excuse to start drinking early in the afternoon/morning.
