American women and men: NOT made for each other?

So my friend used to date several American women before he stopped. I asked him why. He said this (here I paraphrase) - American women are way too egoistic and out looking out for themselves - and are too liberal. He may have been frustrated by a one-off relationship, but he has had many 1+ year relationships where all of them end up breaking away for similar themed-reasons. He is now going steady with a Chinese girl, and seems to be quite happy.

So WHAT is it really with American women? Are they always in a constant struggle of the sexes to compete and subdue the men, while the men are 'naturally' inclined to do the same? Has Feminism run amuck? Is the pure-American marriage system dying a slow, but sure death?? With divorce rates over 50% this has got to be the country of most intolerant couples?

personally, I married a nice, Indian (not native-American, but Asian-Indian) girl, and couldnt have been more happier. So maybe I cant relate to my friend that much - does anyone have any words of insight for him?
 
Heaven forbid a marriage should be a partnership of equals - you know, that a man should do his share of housework, laundry, childcare, etc. OMG! :roll:
 
Might be that American women are pretty much the only ones on the planet that are truly independent... we are totally capable of taking care of ourselves, and our children if need be, with no help from men... therefore, we demand to be treated as equals.

We have 1/2 the money, all the pu... and can do just about anything a man can.

That is what I thought when I posted what I did.

Actually we got 1/2 the money cause this country is truly working at equal pay for equal work. Not there yet, but getting close.

you pretty much summed up why american women suck. You have this attitude of "we deserve such and such" and are very ungrateful for all that the man does for you.

if everything is so "equal" then why don't women approach men like men approach women? an attractive woman can walk into a bar and get laid by just about any man in that bar without picking up a finger or spending a dime but a man can't walk into a bar and get laid without putting out some serious effort, money, and a bit of luck.
