Plan on laughing a lot!

I liked it. Jim Levinstein did a great job, as usual, and Stiffler assshole meter is even higher than the last two combined. Go see it!

Finally got to see it last night. It was hilarious. Me and my friends were cracking up throughout the whole movie. The dance scene with Stifler rocked!

I thought the first one was better. But this one was better than the second.

Ehh...I was disappointed. A good movie, no doubt. I laughed a lot. But it has nothing on the first two. The first two have a sense of realism (kinda) to it, a genuine-ness to it that was the essence of the American Pie movies. This one lacked it. They also portrayed Stifler to be a f-bomb dropping asshole of all assholes, 10x the asshole from either of the first two. While it worked out in the end, there was no need to do that to his character. Will I go see it again? Yes. Will it go into my permanent collection? Yes. Is it better than either of the first two? Big fat no.

yeah, since when did Stiffler become such a big asshole?
in the first two, he was only a desparate horndog, not a total ass.

they didn't bridge the reason for why there was so much animosity between Stiffler and the rest of the gang.

I was thinking the same thing...

Ditto. I can't believe everyone liked it so much. I went with a bunch of people, about 12, and no one liked it more than the first two. How can you think the Stifler dance scene was funny? It was retarded. The Stifler from the first two movies would have never done that. Also, I agree on the realism factor. This one didn't seem like the stuff could happen. Like the dog scene. BTW, the movie did have one of the single funniest parts I have ever seen in a movie. Its when the moms goto the reastuarant and are about to sit down and the one lady says in a sarcastic tone, "You don't need to stand up." and Jim and his friend look at each other and give the "R U Fvcking kiddning me face."

The wedding, and correct me if I'm wrong, was supposed to be central to the plot, but this film was really about Stiffler. I found his character to be unnecessarily prickish and at most times annoying.

Completely forgettable.

I would have to agree with the Stiffler comments, the first 3/4 of the movie is nothing like him from the first two movies.

Overall still very funny, at least one good T&A scene (as always), & even when being an asshole Stiffler is... Well... Stiffler.

Finally caught the movie yesterday...and it was good! I agree that Stifler was totally out of character for the most part, and the sh*t-eating wasn't necessary, but I thought the movie was almost just non-stop laughter. And man was the T&A scene great. :) I thought they'd go through the movie w/o any nudity, but BAM! there it was.

And the friend I went with wants to go to Traverse City to see where they shot the wedding scene, lol (she's a girl). It was in Traverse City, right? The sign said like Great Traverse something.

I would like to know what the resort they had the wedding at, seems like a sweet place to take a relaxing vacation..... Might have to take one one of these days.

American Baby (American Pie IV?) Its a thought...

Yeah, the first one will always be the best. I thought it was good to show prom night from both the guys and the girls. Rarely do you get to see a comedy that shows both sides equally funny.

I haven't seen AP2 because the ads for it looked just plain dopey.

****SPOILERS*****
The dance scene could have been better. Where was the BeeGees song, "I could be dancing"?

When did Stiffler go from horn-dog to just plain ass? I know the writers wanted to show Stiffler's redemption (this was his movie, depsite the title), but a lot of it was forced. Also, the transition time for him was waaaay to simple. I think the writers couldn't get it right and they had to settle for a quick scene cut to smooth it over (this is the scene with him yelling at the florist at her house at night). They could have given the scene 10 minutes, maybe 6 ot give Stiffler a soliloquy to show his change of heart. he could have stood under her window and given a speech on why he wants to be a part of that little clique - when in the first movie, he had his own group of friends. Damn! Move over, Adam Herz (the writer, just looked him up on imdb)! Let me write this!

Now another question for all of you, especially the younger crowd. Do you think that scene (you know the one) will inspire a lot of guys to get "that special haircut"? :Q
