When he was w/the 2 hookers, what was with the wire coat hanger? and in a later scene, what did the hooker mean when she had to goto the hospital for what he did to her?

What did he do to her?!

And explain the ending!!!

I figured it was one of those implied things where the audience really doesn't know what he does with the coat hanger and you make up things in your head.... like Hitchcock's type of horror with little blood.

Don't recall the coat hanger part for for the hooker going to the hospital comment, I took it as he "ripped her a new one" or "knocked the bottom out of it".

But with what info was given in the movie this was all I could guess she meant, I'm sure the book gives plenty more reason.

If you're interested you should read it. I personally think its one of the great pieces of modern American literature, but thats just me.

I never read the book. The movie doesn't come right out and tell the viewer, but there are enough clues to imply what happened.

The scene I mentioned above is crucial to letting you know what occured. So, I say again; what did one of the girls do as she was leaving? It was a small, quick gesture.

No. It was nothing sexual for the girls. The main character probably got off on watching it happen.

I never read the book. The movie doesn't come right out and tell the viewer, but there are enough clues to imply what happened.

live in the American Gardens Building on W. 81st Street on the 11th floor. My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old. I love that movie, but love the book much more. A few things he does in the book that they can't/did not show in the movie:

1. Cut a girls head off and had oral sex with it
2. Crucified several women, attached car batteries to their nipples, dismembered them
3. My personal favorite...starved a rat for a couple weeks, and then bound a woman, smeared cheese all over her genitals, and let the rat loose on her through a tube.
4. Held a lighter up to a homeless mans eye until it burst
5. Several other gruesome things I can't recall...

I seem to recall one part where he beats some person's dog with a bat on the street.
