American modem in Sweden?

Hi, I?ve got an internal PCI modem bought in the US, does anyone know if there are any differences between American and Swedish telephone lines? In other words, can I use the modem in Sweden?

It may very well work. I have used Dell Inspirion internal modem at least in the US, Germany and Finland with success. I just chose the correct country from modem settings and that was all. Just make sure you have the appropriate cables etc.
