American Literature HELP needed....need some web resources....

alot of this reading aint making any sense.......i need some summaries of these things....such as stuff by Whitman, Melville, Poe, Emerson, Jefferson, Franklin, Smith, Bradstreet....etc...

There's one for starters. You might want to run a search on each author seperately as you will get more complete and concise and possibly more accurate information on a site dedicated primarily for that author. Good luck.

I do, or at least try to... i have really bad comprehension and cant understand most of them...especially the Emerson stuff.

I have a feeling we gonna have to write an essay on the Emersonian elements in &quot;Bartleby, The Scrivener&quot; by Melville.....any ideas on that?
