American Idol question

It doesn't seem likely to me that Simon, Paula, and Randy can audition 100,000 people. How does American Idol really work?

They screen out a lot of people even before they even get to the judges.

When you see randy paula and simon separate the retards and the good people, they have probably a PRE-Screening and they see how horrible the people are. If they really suck, then they send them over to the crew to be made fun of, if they are really good, same thing except so they can progress...

i had 3 friends that tried out down here in south fla/ None made it, all were theater type voices but very good, they all went to to 3 differnt people at once, the guy said they were good but just not the idol type voice. They have a pre screen and they take the sucky ones and hand um to the producer so they can make some funny show

she's pretty impressive for 16 years old. she has a lot of personality and isn't afraid to show it. i think a lot of the older folk are intimidated -- she doesn't appear to be at all.
