AMERICAN IDOL black entertainers are amazing!!

HI All

I am just amazed by how much talent the Afro American contestants have on American Idol. Its no wonder why young white kids my age try to emulate them!! I personally went out and got my hair braided and got me some of those funky Phat jeans today!!!! I feel sorry for people my parents age because when they were growing up there was alot of discrimination against the real talented black entertainers. My parents had to settle on listening to entertainers like Elvis Presley, Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra etc. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to listen to such consummate singers as Reuben Studdard and Beyonce.

I hav to agree - some of the best vocal talent EVER has come from the African American community: Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Beyonce Knowles, Deborah Cox, etc, etc, etc.

all i know is kelly clarkson outsold ruebin by far. and that white dweeb that lost beat em both by far. something like 2.6? mil sold? clarkson is 1.9 from what i remember.

most of the girls are pretty good this year, though. I didn't like George for a long time, but he's growing on me too.
