Mark McGrath. Singer from Sugar Ray. My guess is that he's just on this episode and maybe the next one before they go to Hollywood. I've seen the end of many American Idols waiting for 24 to come on and they always had some celebrity judge on them.

This guy needs to disappear... his band was a one-hit wonder and he's only getting by on looks at this point... he hosts one of the tabloid shows every night too... thankfully this is just a 1-night thing for him.

Their band had 4 top 10 hits(Fly, Every morning, Someday, When its over) and Fly and Every morning were #1 hits.
Mark McGrath might be more famous now for his wealth of knowledge in music.
He literally destroy everyone in Jeopardy musical version many times over.
He is the equivalent of Ken in the celebrity musical version of Jeopardy.

The thing that pisses me off about this show is the judges favor a very narrow style of singing. The winners are always people who sing pop standards well. Any time someone tries to sing something different or alternative or out of the main stream the judges slam them. Then they push through one "rocker" to round out the final 10 but the rocker will never win. The judges always come down on the "rockers" and so the pop kids who watch the show don't vote for them. :roll:

I want to see someone get to the final 10 and then sing a Metallica classic or maybe Led Zeppelin or Korn.

This is why the music industry is in such sad shape.

The reason it's in bad shape is because morons (like you) rely on the media to tell them what is good. Music today is great. Just start looking on your own.

Long Beach Dub All-Stars is one such example. Many people like Sublime. It's funny that few know this band. Or Jazz? Some Jazz i REALLY good. And live Phish shows.

Good music is all over. Just becuase morons rely on the media isn't a reason to hatethe media.

Once they start doing the competitions and stuff, I quit watching. I only watch the show for a couple laughs at the idiots who make fools of themselves--it just blows my mind that some of these people think they are good.

The guy with the last name Braxton whose voice cut in and out and who rambled on and on was hilarious. It seems FOX is trying to hard to find the next William Hung though. They kept preview that stupid last girl through the whole show to get you to tune in to watch the trainwreck. The thing is she's no William Hung, she was just a pyscho. People actually liked Hung and he had a good attitude.

The 17 year old who dressed up like she was 30 was pretty funny too.
The one hyperactive girl reminded me of the next scooter girl sans scooter.
5.9% headband was pretty good too. He told them it was for 5.9% alcohol and he used to be an alcoholic (he was probably 18). He used like 5 voices.

I also think they give some people a huge advantage already...like Constantine, the lead singer of that metal band, b/c he's had so much air time already. Although I have to say he's probably my favorite so far b/c he's different than the rest, but there is NO WAY he's winning it, he's not good enough.

Looking forward to some more laughs tonight (I think it's tonight).
