I just saw the video linked above, and found it pretty impressive. I hadn't really been impressed by Bo thus far (though admittedly I hadn't seen all that many of his performances, or shows from this season). An impressive performance though so far. Previous to that it seemed like his voice was not very natural, and was more forced, whereas I thought that Carrie just had a natural pleasant sound to her voice, and she just sang, and didn't have to try very hard to sound good. But after seeing that, I have a lot more respect for him as a singer. Sounds like you guys that have been keeping closer tabs on this seem to think Bo will win, and after seeing that vid, I believe you just might be right. He doesn't seem to have a whole lot of range to his voice, but perhaps with the music he'll sing it won't be that necessary.
The contest has officially ended. Bo and Carrie will both be signed, no matter what.

i know i have an ear for music, Carrie is often off pitch, she was flat for like 5 seconds on a note she was holding. sometimes that's a technique, start flat and then get to the intended note, she never did on that rendition. i just never felt comfortable listening to her sing.

i know i have an ear for music, Carrie is often off pitch, she was flat for like 5 seconds on a note she was holding. sometimes that's a technique, start flat and then get to the intended note, she never did on that rendition. i just never felt comfortable listening to her sing.
I agree, it made me cringe sometimes with the notes that she would hit, but it was probably just nerves or something. IMO Carrie is too stiff on stage, when she does try to move around it seems like she's forcing it (but she still is easy on the eyes) . Bo is a natural on stage and he looks like he's having fun and not some scared kid.

Her stiffness is her biggest problem. I'm sure she knows it by now, but that's something that will take time to overcome. She made some headway in that area last night. If she blew kisses and flirted more with the audience, she would have won this weeks ago.Originally posted by: Jpark

Seacrest said there was less than 2% separating the 2 of them. Between Bo's performance, and her showing some emotion for once, I now think it's in her favor.

I think she's a great technical singer.. but for some reason she definitely hit some rough patches in those songs..
In every song she was a tad too nasal for me, her performances sounded forced/strained, like Simon said after the first song. She was pushing too much.
Her first two were okay. Her last one was very good, despite hitting a really bad note and some slightly rough spots.
It was not by any means a 'perfect vocal' randy and paula said.
Bo's gonna win on charisma/stage presence.. The only time he impressed me was on the acapella song, which was excellent.
