I've always found it a bit weird that you give the Presidents spouse a title.

It's a job not a royal family.

Jobs have titles....But in this case there is no official designation, just customary to call the President's wife first lady.

Bill is an ex-president so he is entitled to be addressed as Mr. President for the rest of his life.

Wait until I edit!
Ain't nobody got time for that!

If it's just a daft custom then they could just call him "Former president Mr Clinton".

Bill is an ex-president so he is entitled to be addressed as Mr. President for the rest of his life.

That's just silly. What happens if a bunch of them meet at a public gathering? How does the announcer cope?

"Mr President is greeting Mr President. They both turn to wave at Mr President as Mr President makes an entrance".

Why not Bill Clinton former President?

Confirmed. I just heard a clip from an interview with Chelsea Clinton. She says her Dad likes the "First Laddie" title.

Here:

**Hillary also said she'd probably still be the one to choose the China, flatware and flowers for State sponsored dinners.

Which brings up a good question what would the first, first-spouse do? First Ladies usually take up kids causes it would be weird for a Man to do that, I know its sexist of me but its weird.
