according to 'der spiegel', an american company cancelled it's relationship with the german leather manufacturer "Lederett Lederfaserwerkstoff GmbH" solely because of the current political difficulties between the US and german governments. the american company expressed satisfaction with "Lederett" products and services, and hopes to re-establish the relationship once the political situation changes.

I think this anti-France,germany, anything-not-going-along-with-the-US sentiment in terms of commerce is childish and totally asinine. I've heard of people boycotting french goods, now others want to pour french wine down the gutters.

I agree france needs to buck up as much as the next guy but these are totally seperate issues and such actions by the boycotters are triggered by idiocy IMO.

and the stupidity continues

To be honest. If i was one of these companies that are shunned, I would turn around and make deals with Iraq.
Just to show some of these idiots.

It is ok. I rarely drink wine anyways.

But shouldn't the amount of business we do with them be inversely proportional to our level of agreement with their policies, like China?

If there was store A and store B and store A pulled a stunt like this I'd be more inclined to patronize store B for not being dumbasses.

So youd rather act "rational' have people boycot your product and be forced to lay off more people?
