American company building 1000hp Veyron rival

Hell, the Salleen S7 had 95% the top speed of the Veyron and better handling. Largely because it weighed over 1000LBs less and was designed to be driven around a road course.

and you could get a 32 oz up through the driver's window for when you take it to the drive through.

I remember sitting in the lobby of a Midas while I got some work done (hey, I had a coupon) and reading a car mag (can't remember which one). They pitted five supercars and overall the Hennesey (sp?) Viper beat the Veyron.

I believe you would be refering to the 0-200 mph shootout that C&D did several months ago. So if by beat you mean had the quickest time from 0-200, then yes.

But the point of the Veyron isn't meant to be just to be the fastest car, it's about overall technical prowess. The fit and finish isn't even the same league...hell not even in the same sport! Going fast is great, but going that fast and being just as comfortable as you would be in a luxury sedan is absolutely mind boggling.

I've toured the Saleen factory in Irvine and the S7 is a work of art. The S7 is an amazing car at a pretty reasonable price when compared to other supercars.

Would the Competition S7 TT w/ 1000HP not destory the Bugatti as I'm assuming the 95% version you are referring to is the standrd S7 TT w/ 750HP.

I don't see these cars as competition to the Veyron. The Veyron is a grand tourer, these are near race cars. The Veyron is the total package, these cars are not.

True... but you have to consider 2 things.

It handles pretty crappy for a car capable of 250mph
Panties drop much faster for sports cars than GT cars 😀

I'd feel pretty confident picking up chicks in a Veyron. Or any of the cars mentioned actually. Not that many of the women would have any idea what kind of car it was.

I was talking to a girl one time with this other guy and he was trying to figure out what kind of car he should get next. I was pretty shocked when she suggested a McLaren SLR. The other guy had no idea what it was and I had to explain to him why it was funny.

Why would you need a car to get panties to drop? 😀

To be honest, its just an expression to me... especially since my (wonderful) gf would kick my ass if i was droppin other girls panties.

But lets be honest - a lot of guys who can afford those cars are in it for the hot super model-looking sluts whose sex drive is directly proportional to the track prowess of said guys car.

😀

5 years later and to me he's still "widely recognized" for screwing numerous customers out of tens of thousands of dollars.

Yup, Hennessey can DIAF as far as i'm concerned.

Srt600 turbo system???
WHAT A JOKE!!!
My jeep has been back and forth / back & forth to Hennessey's in TX for more than a year (sent 8/24/06 it is now 10/17/2007). Nothing but BS. The jeep has not performed!! I spent $30,000, the turbo was blown when it arrived on the transporter, my wheels & tires where stolen by Hennessey, scratches on fenders & hood, jeep shuts off on the go, & accelerator sticks wide open, I did get an inbox filled with BS.
I found a article in March 2007 CarandDriver on MY JEEP (specs sheet & pictures of my license plate). Why did car & driver have my jeep? Who tested it, did they scratch it or blow the turbo? Why would anyone do 10+ hard launches with only 1 mile on the new motor?
