American Chopper question

This show rocks!

On the "Mikey Special" that aired recently, I saw a clip that had a Paul Sr. novelty item. It was like a bobble head that talked or something. I have been looking all over for it. I checked on discovery.com and even orangcountychoppers.com, but nowhere to be seen. Anybody know where I can get this cool device. It would make a great Christmas gift!

That is a cool show. I laughed so hard when they crashed their trucks into each other and then when the son tries to pull the bumper back he just punches the gas and practically rips the bumper off his Dad's truck.

I didn't catch that part of the show. But, I did catch the part where Mikey's chopper had problems with his custom rear wheel (gold spokes, blue wheel with painted musical notes) - and he had to use a standard 60-spoke chrom wheel. The chopper seemed a bit "odd" with the chrome rear wheel and the custom gold/blue front wheel. However, the chopper as a complete bike was great.

I love the show ... along with Monster Garage.

I am not talking about the Miky's bike episodes, this was a best of clip show that aired on Monday. At any rate, I read on the disovery.com forums that the Item I am talking about may have been a prototype for a product coming out in the future. Lets hope.

I did watch the shows this past Monday evening. Among them, was the Mikey's bike episode.

Actually, that was a fight between father and son. Those fights occur on nearly every episode.

Basicly, thats what makes the show so great...besides the killer bikes!

Yesterday I drove right past West Coast Choppers on Alameda St. in Long Beach. There were a ton of people, cool bikes and cars around. I don't know if they were filming another episode of Monster Garage or if it was just a normal gathering of people down there. I would have loved to stop in but I had the wife and kid with me and we were on the way to my In-Laws house.

but so very BAD when a black does it (Eazy E, Tupac, etc)

How so? Jesse James is a pretty laid back person -- or, appears to be on the show. I don't think he's glorifying the gangster lifestyle at all. Besides, most people buying Harleys now are professional folks who earn great incomes and are responsible people.

I get inspired when I watch Monster Garage. I like how they can be creative with torches and welders and making something wonderful.

Uh, why don't you check out their main page at http://www.westcoastchoppers.com.

There's a gangsta chick there sitting spread legged and holding a sawed-off shutgun on her thigh. Jesse James is behing her and he too is holding a shotgun.
Go further into the site and you'll see a closeup image of a 9mm bullet with Jesse James' name on it "Hand Made in the LBC".

And here is one of there many gang inspired clothing items for sale..

Need more proof?

Who cares? Rather than glorifying his oh so troubled past of hustling, pimpin', stealin', killin' in the form of music and selling it to anyone who will buy it J.J. makes his money by selling custom motorcycles. How many kids go out and buy a chopper only to take it home and have their parents freak out about the message in said purchase. If MTV ever picks up on the chopper scene and kids go crazy wanting West Coast Choppers gear be sure to write to congress and tell them how Jesse James dresses and about the press photos on his website. Strike a blow for unjustly persecuted rappers everywhere.

I think this thread was originally about American Chopper, which J.J. has absolutely nothing to do with.

Quite right. The episode where they all got together at one of the family member's houses and spent a good portion of the show trying to build a playset really emphasized how cool it was to be a gangster.

How about the episode were Paul and the OCC Posse visit his brand new grand daughter in the hospital the day after her birth? The only time Tupac visited the hospital was because he was shot.
