Yikes, I have been on hold for 20 minutes. They cancelled my flight today. I had a 1st class ticket from Anchorage to Orlando...one stop in Phoenix.

They put me on a coach fight from Anchorage to Seattle to Atlanta to Orlando. Unsat! Bump me to business class at the very least. No go. They say Delta will not pay for an upgrade...Delta? I already paid for a 1st class, one stop, ticket. I know AWA 1st class is like the biggies business class, so I expect at least that.

Well, I found a flight to Tampa via Delta 1st class for just a little more. So, I had to change my rental car, no problem. Tampa is more convenient anyway. Now I am on hold for the 3rd time tonight with AWA (1st was to complain about the coach, second I got disconnected right as they said Hello after a 20 min wait and now to get the refund)

Blew away a fully charged cell phone battery already and had to find my wired phone! Forgot I even had a wired phone.

Anyway, you get what you pay for with discount airlines. live and learn.
 
They are one of two airlines that fly from Anchorage to Orlando/Tampa with only one stop....Alaska Airlines is the other and they are spendy...I guess one extra takeoff and landing will be the way from now on.
 
I dunno, I never have problems with them.

If you are flying "first class", why bother with AWA? AWA is about economy travel!!!

Well, unless your rear-end is too big to fit in a human sized seat.

...in which case I heartily thank you for NOT trying to squeeze into a normal seat and overlap all over your fellow passengers.
 
the one and only time i went on an america west flight was when i was going on a flight to phoenix from new york that made its last stop in long beach, california. well, my luggage didn't get off at phoenix. i slept in the clothes that i traveled in that night, and i was without anything (including my schoolbooks which i needed at the time) for almost 24 hours.

first time that happened to me -- i've never previously lost luggage before. well, i guess you do live and learn.
 
It's no secret that AWA sucks. You get what you pay for! The employ some of the ugliest and the oldest flight attendents too (like United).
 
I am flying first class mainly because it is my vacation. My rear can fit in any seat. The only other times I usually fly is on World Airways in ghetto coach to Kuwait or Iraq or a "Stan" Durkdurkistan....

This is to treat myself a little...I knew AWA 1st class was just a hair better than everyone else's coach. I had these tickets for months and 6 hours before take off I have to scramble the whole plan and start over. 🙂 In the end, you get what you pay for and the customer service I got tonight was subpar for even a crap airline like AWA.
