How would they have her actual DNA? Did they take her blood before she flew or something and keep it all these years?

Actually the article talks about the bones that were found in 1940. It's just that now they can test them to see if they are hers.

this makes more sense... i remember hearing on the news that they recovered plane fragments and a pair of sandles in her size at some island quite a few years ago.

That's absurd...most turtles can't fly airplanes.

Wait so they are testing bone fragments found from 1940 now? Because that makes a little sense at least, whereas "we found bones in the middle of nowhere. better check to see if they're amelia earhart." is basically retarded.

On second reading they just found the bones near where the other bones were found back in 1940. I guess the 1940 bones are no longer available for testing.

can you imagine how fast cnn would go out of business if they only posted news and not speculation?

That goes for all news services nowadays. they never verify the story before posting it. It's all about being first, to hell with the facts.

How about they do a test before they friggin post to news sources ...

How is it news if they don't know yet?

I think the news should be, "Bones tested on an island to figure out who they boned. Could be Amelia Earhart, could be Jesus, could be JFK, could be Santa! More at 11"
