what can i say. I never said I was an angel. :p

If I'm causing you this much headache, I think I'll stay.

I'd rather do homework than trying to get to work at 9am everyday, working a minimum wage job inside a cubicle until 5pm.

It's funny. A group of adults on the INTERNET, and the only hobby they can find is posting on a hardware review forum. Still living with the parents, are we?

You speak of the internet as if it's meant for teens. Do you think that this forum is a playground?

I'm 22, do you think I've outgrown computers and related discussions?

Seems to me that YOU are the outsider here.

So go play with the other kids, I'm sure that there's lots of cool things going on over at disney.com.

You make it seem like "The Internet" is some kind of incredibly hard to use tool.

The internet is for teens, as well as adults and little children. But like real life, the internet is catagorized.
There are the little kids who use it for learning/ kiddy games, there are the teens who use it for music/videos/advancedgames/sometimes to make money, and then the adults.

This is where you fall under. A sucessful adult uses the internet for business/making money/ getting product deals; the average thing a smart adult would do. On the otherhand, there are the adult losers-Adults who spend time on forums meant for teens ( yes overclocking and building a computer is quite easy ) and waste valuable time talking to a teenager, hoping to make a point by throwing senseless insults like:
"So go play with the other kids, I'm sure that there's lots of cool things going on over at disney.com."

You're not smart, you're a sore loser using "computers" as a hobby to cover up for your stupidity. Oh sorry to break it to you like that, but using computers isn't a hobby or a talent.

So you're saying that the only use a successful adult should have for the internet is business.

Thanks for putting me into such a neat little category. I was really wondering what I was supposed to do here (/sarcasm).

This forum meant for teens?????

AT forums are full of IT professionals and successful college graduates.

Do you realize that AT has over 110,000 members?

Do you really think that they are all teens?

Sure, using a computer, even configuring and building one is easy, but do you follow the in-dept articles regarding cpu architecture and function?

Wasting my time? Well I've got a little time to spare. I'm actually typing this between rounds of beer pong, so forgive me if I don't make much sense after a while.

It's funny. A group of adults on the INTERNET, and the only hobby they can find is posting on a hardware review forum to assist those who need help, and expose FUD-spreading trolls when the opportunities arise.
Fixed :)

Do something useful around here and then maybe you'll have some credibility. You can start with a Forum search for threads containing the words help or problem in the title. Get started, let's see you walk the walk a little. Want me to send you my 700MB+ collection of .PDF mobo manuals on a DVD+R to help you get started?

110,000 members and a bunch of you managed to get latched onto my posts. Hold on let me fix something, it's in bold above. I helped simplify your definition of the people here.

Being an IT professional is not something you should say in public or be proud of. You know what an IT professional is? More or less the people you ask for help with your service when you call Dell or Comcast. Wages are what, $60,000 MAX? Yea that's what I thought.

BTW you're going off topic.

You want to help? Fine. Try and post something that would help people decide whether to go with AMD or Intel, this is what I'm trying to do but in return I get flamed by a bunch of amd "Fanboys". You're telling me to go help people on the forums but you don't realize you're wasting time argueing instead of helping.

I already belong to very respectable overclocking/ computer help forum. The people there are very nice and intelligent, and unlike most of you they don't provoke flame wars. If you have nothing good to post, then don't post it. Go "Help" people.

As you say, I've digressed. So I'll sum it up.

AMD = Cool, unquestionably stable, based on an established and mature platform, will ignore low priority programs when under 100% load, in most cases will outperform prescott DC when using <4 apps.

Intel = Hot, questionable stability/overclockability, based on a new MB chipset (will get better, but isn't great now), will devote equal time to up to 4 CPU intensive programs (maybe more), is owned by X2 with anything under 4 apps.

Clear enough?

Exactly... And IT professionals make 60k max ? The guys you get help from dell, comcast, etc.... I doubt any of them make over 40k, but a real IT pro like myself, makes 100k up to 1m (compiler gurus).... Crawl back under your bridge intelc4004....

Thanks for putting it that way and I agree with you. But you don't know for sure how the intel will perform at doing 3 tasks vs 3 tasks. I see on Tom's live chart that the intel is doing 4, while the AMD is doing 3, right? 4 vs 3 and I say the intel is putting up a good fight.

I like that statement in bold, and I'm kind of glad you said that.

If you really make over 100k ( not that it's a lot of money in the first place) you wouldn't be the first to brag about it. Tell me what you do as in "IT Professional". And I'll tell you what your wages are supposed to be.

This thread is getting RIDICULOUS.

GUYS LET IT DIE!!

We are obviously not going to make contact with a few select people (porkster, Pabster, intelc4004). Haven't you figured out yet that they know NOTHING and are simply continuing to post to piss you off. How about everyone posts "STFU Troll" once and then drops the thread completely. That way you can release your anger and end the thread all at once :) :).

You self-absorbed a-hole.... You are probably a child younger than my son. If you weren't such an a-hole I would answer your question, but since you are I don't care to justify myself. Let my pictures in my sig speak for themselves, along with 25 years in the industry. Oh, and my office on the 9th floor has a nice big big window overlooking Mt. St. Helens... I see a pattern emerging.

Lets examine Porkster.

He trolls in forums spreading misinformation about how AMD holds technology back that Intel introduces, like BTX. He ignores most posts and just spews some garbage about how THG screwed everything up on the Intel system but somehow kept the AMD one running nice and smooth...

And then we have the people like Intelc4004... Just registered, age 16, harps on about how everyone here but him is a loser with no life... yet seems to enjoy himself in his trolling, which you'd think would imply he has even less of a life (but whatever). Actually has the audacity to say that the internet, for adults, is strictly business oriented... Talks about how computers can never possibly be a hobby. (I suppose he thinks cars can't be either... or sports, reading, etc) Even says that anyone in the IT field, or anyone technologically competant can't possibly be smart or wealthy. I guess Bill Gates doesn't exist... or the oher 60% of the multi-billion/trillion dollar-worth people... He calls people making almost $200,000 a year as a Director or almost $300,000 a year as Vice-President of IT as poor people living in their mother's house.

What a lunatic.

You think people with degrees in Electrical/Electronics Engineering are stupid? MIT? IIT? Are stupid schools? Grow up, learn, and get your own life. I'll do what I damn well please because I have the money, time, and brainpower to do so.

"Thank you, move to the pickup window!" will be your job motto.

Its only natural when someone puts you down, you have to try and put them down in return. But what the important thing is you're ignoring- I'm 16 and you're over 25. And I'm getting you mad.
Replying with posts like "go pop a zit" is actually funny. Because you too were in high school with zits and saying something like that usually means you've suffered from a very nasty, pimply face in the past. I hope you'll recover from this trauma soon. Zit face. Sorry I had to say it :)

Let's face it, you can't win an arguement on the internet. Stop now before making yourself look more of an idiot. God I love bringing the "idiot" out of people :S

Edit: and my 18 year old son gets to drive that RX-8 once in a while.....I hope you like to drool........, he does, and you need to learn to ...You'll probably get lucky to drive a yugo !

First you say this is a forum/website for teens (because using a computer is so easy  )
and then you assume that everyone here is over 25.

SirPappy's profile doesn't list his birthdate. How could you possibly know how old he is?
