AMD's website down... can't get drivers

I hope they're back up soon. My 4850 video card howls and gets really hot whenever I play facebook's FarmVille, yet no problem playing Bioshock. 😡

There are other places to get the latest drivers than just the ATI site.

And that sounds more like a Flash problem.. So if changing driver versions/updating doesn't help, you might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling flash.

I don't know about that. I've been using the drivers that Windows 7 downloaded for me. I really want to know just how hot my GPU is getting. I burned my hand on it when I went to feel how hot. Oddly, exactly when I log off Farmville the howling from inside the case immediately stops.
Right now my screen res. is maxed at its native 2048 x 1152. There's only 512MB of memory on the 4850 card by VisionTek.

Update: site's back up, download done, installing now.

Ah, both AMD and NVIDIA offer flash acceleration using Flash 10.1.

So it may be his version of flash that is causing the conflict.

I downloaded 10 minutes ago the Cat 10.6 drivers for my brother in law and the page worked as usual.
