Well, the market capitals of both companies are as follows.

Intel 149.77B -> 141.6B
AMD 8.84B -> 8.365B

So, like iamwiz82 said, the current stock price means absolutely nothing. AMD only has 398.36M shares compared to Intel's 6.09B.

Both market caps have decreased, and by almost exactly the same amount (5.4% or so).
Almost spooky 😛

AMD Pwns Intel.

Much better technology and products than intel.

AMD will show its might when Windows Vista is closer to release, that when people will start buying lots of x2's as they are far superior to the intel product at this time.

They might be better than Intel but I doubt we'll see a huge surge in purchases of AMD chips.

Intel has a lot of oem deals with people like Dell and others, that's where their money is made. I'm dissapointed that people haven't woken up to the true innovators - AMD.

you gotta admit though, the P-M is a pretty impressive chip (for laptop purposes)

Agreed. That's pretty much the only thing that AMD just don't seem to do so well at, yet.

Pretty much...

:cookie: for OP. Now if only there was an emoticon to express my gratitude for the intelligent people that posted in this thread, oh well.

But don't worry I have bought AMD since the K62 days, and I doubt it will change any time soon. I have been poor most of my life.
