It's pretty attractive and a very good deal assuming the geode @333 is about as powerful as a Pentium2 at that speed. I used internet fine there. Check out the chip... 1W ...I doubt you'd even hear this mahine.

That's a bit expensive for such a weak system. I bet you could build a full fledged athlon system for $185, especially with those cheap $49 fry's cpu/fully integrated mobo deals.

In the target markets, the cost of electricity becomes a factor as well as just the up-front cost. Also, your $185 off-the-shelf system is going to be big, noisy, and probably a lot more fragile.

Between the size and the electricity benefits, this could rock. If there was a second ethernet interface in there, it'd be almost perfect. ;)

Thats things a steal............

Really, I mean it, that thing is so small you could easily steal several of them in one go :) (who wants to lug big beige boxes around?, and you have to hurry too, since you don't want to be caught).

Must be because I live in a crime ridden society when that is the first thing I notice.........
