AMD's Hypertransport - Same thing as LDT?? Looking to replace PCI bus - 6.4GBps of data per second

yes, it's the "market" name for the codename "LDT", same as Duron was market name for Spitfire.

Apparently they have upwards of 100 firms interested in using the bus, including Nvidia, cisco, sun, etc. It's useful in many places, not just on PC motherboards.

The first place we'll probably see it is in either Sledgehammer systems or the X-Box, whichever comes first. (NVidia has confirmed that the xbox is using LDT -- funny, since it's also using an Intel processor).
