I'm on my first cup myself, so what does AMD have to do with this again?

Yea that was pretty successful, since he never actually said that. :)

The thread is humorous; not an exercise in truth. I was being satirical about AMD's marketing by being ironic about their being responsible for Intel's elimination of a rather successful slogan. Nevermind

Looks like the makers of Gundam Seed Destiny have a case against Intel. How much should they sure for? 10 billion? 20?

Core Solo and Core Duo still make me laugh. I have to admit, as retarded as those names sound, they are cool as hell.

Irony! AMD's lack of marketing forced Intel to abandon their superior slogan for Han Solo's and Princess Leia's children. It is a satirical joke about AMD marketing that their best job is Intel abandoning a great campaign in favor of, "In a galaxy far, far away"

In English, AMD's lack of marketing is there marketing. There marketing is they are known for spending all thier money on engineering and making better chips to the point where articles written about Intel are satirical and now the markitects at Chipzilla are re-evaluating there likelyhood of continued employment and went insane.
