NOTE: I did post this on a couple message boards.

I mean wow, just look at all the nice other batch of athlon processors that came out with it 939 thoughout the years.. Now if there is one missing don't go chopping my head off. lol

All 939 socket cpus that were released

AMD Athlon 64 939s

series

(1500+ (venice) 90nm yea, I know crazy.
(3000+)
(3200+)
(3400+)
(3500+)
(3700+)
(3800+)
(4000+)

The cores are as follow for Athlons 64's

ClawHammer (130 nm)
Newcastle (130 nm)
Winchester (90 nm)
Venice (90 nm)
San Diego (90 nm)
Victoria (?)

AMD's flagship that helped them win the fiscal reports last year in the standard desktop market. And beating Intel.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 on 939s:

(3800+)
(4200+)
(4400+)
(4600+)
(4800+)

Cores are as follow for X2's

Manchester (dual core, 90 nm)
Toledo (dual core, 90 nm)

We got a treat of the x2's but we will see full out advantage to this sometime next year hopefully. And when we do that is when I am buying my 4400+ Toledo.

AMD Athlon 64 FX:

(FX55)
(Fx57)
(Fx60)

Cores are as follow for FX series on 939

Toledo(90nm)2.6ghz
San Diego(90nm) 2.6 and 2.8ghz

The last of FX series. Granted the Fx-60 is going to be the last cpu from AMD. I think it was a pretty darn good marketing choice for them to do what they did with 939s.

We all know they did not treat 754s as well as 939s with the Athlons but they are still making the semps for 754, I know it stinks, but heh, time for an upgrade.

AMD Opteron series
(165's)
(170's)
(175's)
(180's)

The cores are denmark dual cores (I have not seen any others)

And the venus cores that are single core opterons.

(148's)
(150's)

A few Sempron 3xxx series as well came out for 939 that I heard.

The "future" or next quater what ever you prefer.

A-M2:
Now When the A-M2 socket comes out I got some "insider" info lol on that the first batch of cores that are coming and those will be AMD Athlon 64's (Orleans core) and AMD Athlon 64 X2's (Windsor core)

And for the low budget processors There will be a sempron (Manila core) do out as well on the A-M2 socket.

Note that the AM-2 sockets will be using the K8's bus as well for the Athlons. And will feature 940 pins and include DDR2 RAM support but it will not be backwards compatible with present 940 pin processors. (according to RAM:48 mag)

Well I hope this guides helps. I would be doing it more detailed but it would take longer and I would need make sure that the detailed guide would be perfectly right cause there are too many versions for clock speeds, L1, L2 and etc.. So I skipped that part.

HP used it in one of their business servers. I'm guessing it was meant to run with a fanless heatsink.

Wrong. The 4000+ was a rebadged and locked FX-53.
