Hi,

Nearly bought a Gigabyte GA-7DXR.
As you know it has a AMD760 chipset which is the best up to now. Right??

Now, looks like the ASUS A7V266 will be out soon with the new revision of the VIA KT266 chipset.
I have a question for people who know what they are speaking about and can explain it to me in understandable terms. (please facts no crap because you like one manufacturer more than others or your friend got one)

What makes the new KT266 better than the AMD760?

I really don't know for sure, but the changes on the KT266 are probably minor and fix the issues it had and maybe increase performance a bit. Hardware is all about optimization, and when Via released the KT266 it just wasn't ready for market yet. They also probably have better BIOSes out for it.
