AMD64/Socket 939 So many hardware issues

I purchased some parts for my new system from NewEgg. I got a AMD64 3000+, Corsair 2x512 DDR 400, hitachi 160gb SATA II, Gigabyte Geforce 6600 256MB 128-bit DDR PCI express x 16, CHAINTECH VNF4/Ultra Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD and a Rosewill Value select RV500S ATX 500W Power Supply with a ATX2.0 24 pin connector.

When I first got all my parts everything seemed to work okay for 1 day then poof I turned on the machine and it just started beeping in an unrecognized POST Code 1-1-1-1 for Phoenix Bios. I called Chaintech and they said my motherboard was either messed up or the memory was bad. I talked to Newegg about replacement for the parts. I kept trying to diagnose the problem could not figure it out. I tested my cpu and video card on a friends rig and both worked. During my testing the Power Supply didn't turn on every time. I then sent the Power Supply, motherboard and memory back to NewEgg. They just sent me replacement parts. I plugged everything in and a soon as I connected the power cable to the power supply it came on for a split second the lights on the back of the computer flickered and then went out and the power supply never came back on again. I was thinking that I got another bum Power Supply. I just sent the 2nd Power Supply back for replacement and now since my time is up I can't get my money back on the PS.

I just purchased a 20 to 24pin adapter and plugged it into my 400W ATX1.0 20 pin Antec PS and once again as soon as I plugged the PS cable into the Power Supply without pushing the power button on the case the motherboard turns on or atleast the PS & CPU fan starts spinning. The CPU fan isn't spinning that loud and it makes me think it isn't getting its full power.
The only thing I can think of is I keep getting bum power supplies and they keep burning out my system. I am guessing that this last power supply fried my mobo and maybe memory. What do you think the chances of this are? All my parts appear to be compatible with one another so I can't figure out what the problem is and I have been without a system for almost 2 months and have spent way too much money on shipping. Why would this PS turn on without pushing the case's button? When I get the replacement PS should I use it?

I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Below are links to my parts

You need to first try and boot with the CPU, one stick of RAM, and the VC outside the case.
It sounds like you might be continually shorting the MB to the case. Trying this will eliminate that possibility.

While I wouldn't ever trust a Rosewill PSU, it should at least get your system to boot. But I'm confused about your use of the Antec. Were you able to boot using that PSU?

Thanks for replying. I have tried booting my mobo outside of the case. I thought about the risers shorting out the mobo. When I tried using the Antec PS and I connected the power cable the power came on without me pushing the button. Since I was having so many issues I took the memory and the video card out of it when testing to see if I could get power to the board. When the powr came on without me pushing the button I figured something was still wrong so I did not tempt putting my memory in. And when the power came on it didn't seem like the PS fan and cpu fan came on at full blast. So something is still wrong even without that PS. But I am not sure now if the PS shorted the mobo or vice versa.

Actually the fans shouldn't spin full RPM right away. They will speed up as the hardware temp increases.

Try it again outside the case with the Antec PSU. One stick of RAM, CPU and VC. Nothing else connected and see if you can get into the BIOS.
My Antec PSU has done the exact same thing before (started up the sytem without touching the case power button). When it does this, I simply hit the case power button to turn it off then restart it normally. I'm not really sure why it does it but it's not really a big deal.
Let us know if this works.
