I recently installed EVEREST for fun and noticed that under "Motherboard"->"CPU"->"CPU Alias" it says ClawHammer-512. This is the exact processor that I bought. I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed something like this. I would assume that EVEREST is wrong but please give me some input.

It is assuming that the A64 is a "ClawHammer", because that is what was assumed to be the code name for all A64s. We now know that there is a Newcastle core as well, but this particular program apparently hasn't been updated.

Jeremy

we now know???

the newcastles have been around for a while now...

so unless this program is like a over 8 months old or i don't see why it wouldn't recognize the newcastle...

UNLESS...

it were a clawhammer with disabled cache
