Is it totally free as I note that it asks for billing details etc?
I just put in all my info, hit submit and went straight to the receipt screen. I got the confirmation e-mail and am downloading it as I type this.

I'll check it out tonight when I get home for my eMachines M6810 :)

I'm also playing Far Cry as well at this point :p

please stick to the topic folks.. this is not a thread on where to get winxp 64.. btw, MS released RC2 a couple of days ago, so dont waste your time with RC1.

Anyone knows anything about the Farcry 64-bit patch? AMD says it's available, but I don't see it on their download page after registration.

I have no idea what ever happened to the 64-bit version of Far Cry. My guess is that if it's still scheduled to be released, then they are waiting for the retail version of WinXP64. You don't want to release a game or patch that runs on beta software, no matter how far along it is.

See my post above or read the website you linked to. Far Cry 64 is not out yet.

Hmmm...seems to me I'm the first to really stick to the topic and give an opinion about the patch here :p
So did the install on my x64 partition yesterday and...
IMHO very nice

+ lots of new eye candy (as advertised)
+ without noticeable performance impact, runs very smooth
- crashed when I turned FSAA 4x on...gotta test more today if one-timer or systematic error...
- sound is buggy in the intro, but this may be due to me still using the onboard sound and the nforce beta drivers for it...

Well done Crytec...hope all ganes go for x64 and multicore support in the near future :D
