Sorry have only oc'd p4, so am trying to understand this. cpuz shows cpu clock at 1000 and multiplier at 5. In bios multiplier is set at auto with cool&quiet enabled.

So is this ok, or do I have a problem?

Ok, after some deep thinking, I disabled cool&quiet and correct clock was shown. :D

So if I was to put the multiplier at 12, would that be a safe way for a modest overclock? Assuming it passed prime95.

You will still need to increase the FSB to fine tune the CPU core speed. Bumping the multiplier by 1 will increase the CPU core speed by 200MHz.

What are you talking about? A 3700+ should be multiplier-locked upwards so raising the multi should either a)not be possible, or b) not do anything. Raise the HTT, lower the LDT multiplier (or Hypertransport speed, etc) and set a memory divider, that's all you'll need to do.

It should be locked at 11x. It is possible to bump up the CPU multiplier with high-end AMD processors.

Yes, sorry the bios shows higher multipliers, but they do nothing. I see no way to lock the agp frequency?

edit: oops found it with google. The pcie lock, also locks the agp.
