Hey guys, i'm extreme fan of oc, i reach up to 258x11 almost stable with the LTD RATIO 4X. when i try to reach the 264 x 11 with 3x ratio is totally imposible to boot the system even windows. there is someone with somekind of experience to help me setting up my oc.

Specs,
a64 3500 venice core
ocz Vx (VOLTAGE EXTreme) PC4000 (512X2) 1GB
DUAL SLI 6600GT CHAINTECH
(ALL WITH WATERBLOCKS) (GPU, CPU)

I bet it's the ram. That ram is only rated to run to 250fsb, at 1:1 ratios. Although the ram is good, it might not be able to handle that extra little bump there. Try turning it down to 166 and see what happens.

PS - Who helped you build your comp? Looks nice EXCEPT the fact that you have two 6600GTs!!! Ahh!!

because... even a 6800 GT PCI-E which cost around 280~310 can outperform 2x 6600 gt in some benchs which cost 290~320

From my experience if windows has errors or freezes and won't boot into windows it is usually the CPU problem, if it is voltage problem the computer would reboot like mad, if it is memory it will quit back into windows while running games and benchmarking tools.

According to the DFI NF4 BIOS Memory Guide, TCCD memory modules need to have the DRAM Drive Strength set to 3 or 5 or 7, which are weak settings. OCZ VX or OCZ BH modules like a strong DRAM Drive Strength of either 6 or 8.

I am using OCZ 2x512MB; Model #: OCZ400512WV3. It likes two things:

1. Voltage. Lots of Voltage.
2. A strong DRAM Drive Strength set to 6 or 8 in the BIOS

Just like you, I am using a DFI LAN PARTY SLI-DR NF4 and a 6600GT.
