I noticed that the board that won silver in the 939 shootout was the A8V Rev.2. The one listed on the site makes no mention of what revision it is. Is there a major difference between the two?

You should put $100 rebate somewhere in your post.

Generally speaking, $100 rebates have a high failure rate.

I remember Motorola trying to stiff me out of $100 saying that I did not send in an old phone. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......suckers plz. I had all the info ready, called 2 managers, and finally got MY MONEY!!! :)

If somebody could tell me where to look I can tell you whether the A8V that TigerDirect sent me is a Rev2 or not. Word of warning, the motherboard and CPU will NOT work together until you flash either 1008.003 (Im not sure about this version) or 1009.002 (I am sure about this one) using the ALT-F2 method at POST. goto ftp.asuscom.de to get the bios'.

Athlon 64 3400+ are available in 939's. They just aren't listed on the AMD site yet but newegg has them too. It works fine in my combo.

Thanks Ryland, and to find the Revision of the board you have look right next to where it says "A8V" on the PCB between the PCI slots. It should say in small print REV 2.00 if its a revision 2 board.

Peace

Hopefully I will have that machine up as my primary tonight and I will look before I put the video card back in (my card for my old computer finally came in, sigh). I just wish my memory for the new computer would come in so I can return the memory I borrowed...
