so, any reason my PC Mark says my amd1700+ OC'ed to 1862 (167x11) is saying its really a duron cpu? WCPUID still knows its 1700+, PCMark just dumb?

that bug is common in all of Futuremarks or mad onion's bench marking sweet. I dont know if it still happens in 3dmark03. Pay no mind to it!

mine sez its a duron in wcpuid, sandra, pretty much everything....have yet to check pcmark...

but i have it on kt133 board and had to cut bridges to enable higher mults....maybe thats why lol
but it shows as 681(tbred b) in wcpuid....

oh well..i know what it is haha

if you know what the cpu is for sure, who cares waht they report

Most of the top Athlon guys on the orb have their Athlon XP's identified as Durons. I mean 2.9 ghz Duron! That Dog just dont hunt!

Hell, I'd take a 2.9GHz Duron any day, those things were no slouches as its obvious why AMD nixed them - they simply didn't perform like a "value" CPU. In fact your 1700+ is practically a Duron as when AMD dropped their Duron line, they intended their lower end CPUs to be their budget chips... just about anything from 1600+ to 2200+ could be considered as AMD's "new" Duron line...although that isn't technically true as they are still very much Athlons.
