amd xp2600+ epox 8kra2 temperature

just put together:
m/b: epox 8kra2
cpu: amd xp2600+
official heat sink and fan
problem:
cpu temperature quickly gets to 50 degrees
is this normal

haven't run it for too long yet
any suggestion son settings for voltages?

50C under load is completely normal if you are using the AMD retail HSF. It's also a function of the room temperature and the amount of case ventilation you have.

What's your case temperature?

You might try adding some more case fans and see if that helps.

case temp was 40C

I've got hold of couple of case fans, and made plenty
of open room around the CPU.

temp is now CPU=34 to 42C
CASE= 30 - 32C

It feels nice.
